Plenary Sessions have been planned to be of interest and help to all participants.
Breakout Sessions are based on 4 distinct tracks, each designed to address health ministry at a different level of development. Participants may "mix-and-match" from the first three tracks and attend whichever sessions are of particular interest.
- Congregational Health track focuses on ministry opportunities within the local congregation such as the biblical foundation for health ministry programs, building a wellness team within the church, developing a plan and seeking grant funding.
- Conference Track provides the opportunity to learn and share about successful programs and opportunities, how to train leadership at the conference level and analyzing wellness programs return on investment.
- Parish Nurse and Health Ministers track is geared for the health professionals with programs focused on “caring for the caregivers”, tools for empowering and working with clergy, helping families in crises and much more.
Servant Leadership: A Model for Self-Care.The fourth track of the Breakout Sessions has different parameters. Registration for the workshop will be limited to 40, and attendance restricted to those. Participants in this track will experience a private journey of self assessment in all aspects of health, leaving with a self-care covenant and plan for improvement. Those who register for this track are expected to attend all four sessions. The self-care covenant is not one of the "mix-and-match" options.
