Health and Welfare

The General Board of Pension and Health Benefits has offered death benefits since the 1950s and health benefits to clergy and lay employees through its HealthFlex program since 1961. Today, the General Board continues its proud tradition of serving The United Methodist Church by providing a wide variety of benefit plans and programs, including health, disability, death, survivor and long-term care benefits. Through its health and welfare plans, the General Board ensures the physical and financial well-being of thousands of participants and their families.
